For Horseflight, Connections Run Deep with Monmouth at the Team

Long Valley, N.J. – May 5, 2021 – Monmouth at the Team is pleased to announce that Horseflight, the company that provides excellence in international horse shipping, will return to sponsor the iconic US Equestrian-rated hunter/jumper competition. Horseflight has been a supporter of Monmouth at the Team since Tucker Ericson and Michael Dowling purchased the show in 2016. Horseflight will present the $15,000 Mini Prix on Sunday, Aug. 22. Formerly the Monmouth County Horse Show, it has been a New Jersey fixture since 1895 and has been held at the US Equestrian Team Foundation Headquarters for five years. This year, Monmouth at the Team will be held at Centenary University Equestrian Center to provide an environment that allows for social distancing.
“The entire Horseflight team is very excited to continue our partnership this year with Monmouth at the Team," said Emil Spadone, founder of Horseflight. "The show is held right in our neighborhood, making it very special to all of us, and is a tradition that has been on my show calendar since I was a kid. Tucker and the crew have wonderfully maintained its friendly feeling by ensuring there is something for everyone and always running it as a top-level show. I can only hope that through our sponsorship, we will help to maintain the legacy for many years to come."
Not only does Spadone feel a connection to Monmouth at the Team, but three of his staff members are graduates of Centenary University, this year's venue. Nicole Judd, Devon Kaminsky and Natasha Williams graduated from Centenary University and rode at the Centenary University Equestrian Center. They are looking forward to the opportunity to return to their alma mater as successful professionals within a niche market of the equine industry. Nicole, Devon, and Natasha say they credit their accomplishments in part to the education and opportunities presented while attending Centenary University.
Horseflight prides itself on the quality of services provided for the customers and their horses during travel. This service excellence is due to the Horseflight team, their unique horse-related backgrounds and what each team member brings to the table. Managing partner Spadone is one of the country’s most respected equestrian professionals while managing partner Seth Vallhonrat is an active grand prix rider and longtime professional. The entire team has countless years of experience and equine industry-focused education. They manage their equine passengers with the same passion and attention to detail that they do for their personal horses, putting out the maximum amount of effort to keep them safe, happy and healthy.
Creating a positive customer experience is also a key factor for Horseflight. They handle the logistics from start to finish, including but not limited to air and ground transportation, customs details, and quarantine arrangements.
