THE TEAM
Carrie Wirth
President
Carrie Wirth is a respected marketing and public relations professional with more than 20 years of experience in communications, events, media relations, advertising and entertainment. She founded EQ Media in 2016.
Carrie began her career in film and video production and has managed a diverse list of clients in professional sports and the corporate world including Best Buy, Target, The Minnesota Wild, Boeing, Continental Airlines, and The Hartford. In the equestrian industry, she has led accounts such as BEMER, Gallagher’s Water, EquestrianCoach.com, Blackburn Architects, The Masterson Method, the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association and more.
Carrie is also an award-winning press officer for international and national show jumping and dressage events. She managed the press centers of Wellington Masters, Longines Global Champions Tour Miami, The National Horse Show, The American Gold Cup, Devon Horse Show and Country Fair, World Dressage Masters Palm Beach and many more.
A lifelong equestrian, Carrie learned to ride in her youth at West Point, New York. She has evented, fox hunted, played polo and even tried her hand at reined cow horse. But Carrie’s true love is show hunters.
Sarah Mahoney
Creative Lead
Sarah Mahoney has more than a decade of communications, strategy and branding experience at award-winning advertising agencies across the Southeast. She is passionate about creating strategies that build brands through visual storytelling and authentic communications.
As Creative Lead, Sarah has worked with brands such as Gallagher’s Water – from pre-launch strategy to packaging and everything in between, BEMER Horse-Set, Calverro, Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA), and TerraNova Equestrian Center – developing the brand identity for their FEI 4* eventing competition, The Event at TerraNova, and designing the inaugural TerraNova Magazine. She spearheaded the rebranding of the Masters of Foxhounds of North America from the brand voice research to developing print collateral, email newsletters and the identity for their annual Dog Daze event celebrating the working dog. She led the creative strategy for redesigning publications for the American Hanoverian Society - the Awards Magazine - Inspection & Performance and Stallion Directory.
Sarah is an equestrian through and through. From pony hunters to the adult amateur ring, Sarah has pursued her passion for all things equine. She grew up in Pensacola, Florida, riding on the local hunter/jumper circuit. She attended Queens University of Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Public Relations.
Sarah also makes her mark on the equestrian industry through her blog, AdultAmmyStrong, catering to the working adult amateur equestrian. The blog's goal is to connect and support the adult amateur equestrian community balancing life in and out of the saddle.
Amelia Sting
Account Project Manager, Creative Services
Amelia Sting is a graphic designer and photographer from Cleveland, Ohio, with over 10 years of experience in the equine industry, both in full-time and freelance positions. She has her BFA from Alfred University in photography and graphic design, with a minor in equine studies. Amelia is passionate about visual storytelling and problem solving, helping clients reach their goals with proven success.
Amelia has been riding her whole life, competing on Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) and Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) hunter seat teams, as well as local and USEF-rated shows in the hunters and jumpers. She now competes in the jumpers on her OTTB Terry, who she has ridden and owned for 12 years.
Maddy Falkowitz
Intern
Maddy Falkowitz is from Long Island, New York, and is a lifelong equestrian. Growing up, she competed her horse Buddy and is now a member of SCAD’s IHSA hunter seat team.
Maddy first worked with the EQ Media team as a photography intern for the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) National Championship. Her talent for photography, hard work and initiative made an impression. She will graduate in 2025 with a BFA in Photography.
