NEW HOPE, Pa. – Aug. 25, 2021 – EQUUS Foundation invites the public to help them turn $30,000 into $60,000. Cheryl Olsten, owner of EQUUS Foundation Equine Ambassador Lafitte De Muze, will match donations made through Sept. 5, the last day of competition at the Hampton Classic, up to $30,000. Donations will directly benefit EQUUS Foundation Guardian charities that rescue and re-home horses in need of next chapters.

"We are so grateful that Lafitte De Muze represents the EQUUS Foundation as an Equine Ambassador,” said Lynn Coakley, President of EQUUS Foundation. “It’s hard to imagine that, behind the glamour of equestrian sport, many of America's horses are needlessly subjected to abuse and neglect, and the threat of slaughter. This matching campaign is a wonderful way for all of us who love horses to protect those in peril. Please consider donating to provide a brighter future for America’s horses who need our help.”

The EQUUS Foundation is committed to ending the abuse and neglect of America's horses by increasing opportunities for horses to thrive as athletes, companions, teachers and healers. They focus efforts on empowering equine charities that provide protection, rehabilitation, retraining and re-homing of America's at-risk and transitioning horses. EQUUS Foundation also works with organizations, like equine-assisted charities, where horses elevate people's lives.

Thanks to EQUUS Foundation and its Guardian charities, many horses facing the same fate as Dunkin now have a chance at a better life.
