Myakka City, Fla. – Jan. 27, 2023 – TerraNova Equestrian Center and Events at TerraNova welcomed the Split Rock Jumping Tour (SRJT) to its expansive facility for the second year to host the Split Rock Sarasota CSI2* and the $300,000 Split Rock Championship series. Competitors include athletes representing 16 countries, including five Olympians. FEI competition took center stage Thursday, featuring the $38,700 BetHorseSports.com 1.45m Welcome with 47 competitors vying for the win. Ultimately, it was Olympian Daniel Bluman (ISR) who proved unbeatable taking the top-two spots with Cachemire de Braize and Ubiluc, respectively.

Peter Holmes’ (CAN) track challenged athletes across 15 jumping efforts with 13 horse-and-rider combinations emerging fault-free. Third to go in the jump-off, Bluman and his own Cachemire de Braize (Quality Touch Z x Pashmina de Braize - Jaguar Mail) delivered the first double-clear finish, crossing the timers in 38.460 seconds to put the pressure on the rest of the field. Many pairs attempted to overtake Bluman’s lead, slicing the tight rollback off of the double combination and giving a blazing gallop to the final oxer. Bluman gave a good run aboard Over the Top Stables LLC and Blue Star Investments' Ubiluc (Ubiko x Lucze - Lucian 18), but his time of 39.260 seconds landed him behind his first mount for the second-place prize. Megan McDermott (USA) from South Salem, New York, took the third position on the podium, crossing the timers with Counter Balance LLC's Nintendo (Nintender x Chakanna - Chacco-Blue) in 40.790 seconds.
